Sapele Mahogany Secret Garden Gate

We were asked to design a custom, grand and romantic entry into this home’s whimsical garden. Our clients love the combination of old and new. We were inspired by the idea of a beautiful window into the gardens. While rummaging through a salvage yard, we found it!. This wonderful piece of wrought ironwork from Mexico, married with a 150 year old lock was the perfect accent and color tones for the Sapele Mahogany wood.
We chose Sapele Mahogany for its natural properties to withstand the East Coast outdoor seasons. The UV protectant in the exterior finish will maintain the beauty of the wood for many years of enjoyment this project was a wonderful test of our woodworking skills.

- Restored antique knobs and latches
- Antique wrought iron window from Mexico
